Over three days you will experience the beautiful landscapes of Montenegro whilst rafting 82km through the entire Tara River canyon, the second deepest canyon in the world, which reaches 1300m at the deepest point. The ONLY way to see this deepest part of the canyon is by boat/raft!

This tour is suitable for families with teenage children, group of friends and can be included as part of a bespoke package.

Sample itinerary:

Day 1 - Transfer

We will collect you from your accommodation and take a scenic drive to an ethno village in the north of Montenegro for a delicious domestic dinner & an overnight stay.

Day 2 – First day rafting

After a hearty breakfast, you will help to load equipment, food, drink & personal luggage (essentials for 2 days only, the remainder will be securely stored) and a scenic drive (approx. 1.5 hrs) takes you to the rafting starting point 'Slivansko', near Djurdjevica Tare bridge where your adventure begins! During approx. 5 hrs of rafting you will see ‘Ljuticu’ (largest natural water spring in Europe), ‘Djurdjevica Tara’ (a monumental arch bridge 165 meters tall). There is a break for a packed lunch & refreshments and after recharging your batteries rafting continues to reach the rafting camp at 'Brstanovica', where the day finishes with a well-earned dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3 – Second day rafting & Return Transfer

After a home cooked breakfast, preparation begins! Second day rafting takes place on an 18km (11 mile) stretch from ‘Brstanovica’ to ‘Scepan Polje’, incorporating an amazing 21 rapids, a visit to a waterfall and plenty of opportunities for photos & swimming. Then it is a short drive back to the rafting camp for a domestic lunch before a return transfer to your accommodation, with a stop at the Piva Hydro Dam (second deepest Dam in Europe).
